Mathematics Teacher / Academic Specialist
 
Full time position beginning August, 2012

Conserve School is seeking a full time, experienced High School Mathematics Teacher capable of teaching Advanced Algebra and Pre-Calculus. This individual will also serve as the Academic Specialist. These responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the Academic Dean and the Assistant Head of School with academic assessment processes and facilitating the integration of technology into the instructional process through training and supporting students and staff.

Conserve School teachers are required to live on campus, serve as advisors for up to eight students, and participate in Conserve School’s outdoor programming.  Due to Conserve School’s environmental focus, a love of the outdoors and interest in sustainability is essential. A Master's degree is required with a minimum of five years teaching experience preferred. The successful candidate should be a flexible team player who is eager to collaborate with colleagues and comfortable with an innovative, interdisciplinary approach focused on student-centered, hands-on, active learning. Boarding school experience is a plus.
